Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Cable website, mobile applications, and related services (together, the “Services”), operated by Cable (“Cable”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under Nigerian law to use the Services. By using Cable, you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and current.

Cable operates a technology platform that connects individuals and businesses (“Senders”) who wish to send packages or request errands with independent riders (“Riders”) who fulfil those requests. Cable is not a courier, logistics, or delivery company. Riders are independent contractors and are not employees or agents of Cable.

Certain features described on our website, such as errand requests, may be marked as “Coming soon” and are not yet available. Availability of features may vary by location and over time.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

• Senders are responsible for accurately describing items, providing correct pickup and drop-off information, and ensuring items sent are lawful and permitted under our Prohibited Items policy.
• Receiver links allow a Sender to invite a Receiver to submit their own name, contact details, and delivery location. Senders are responsible for sending receiver links only to intended recipients.
• Cable does not inspect the contents of packages and is not responsible for prohibited, illegal, hazardous, or misdescribed items submitted for delivery.
• Estimated delivery times, prices, and rider availability shown in the app are estimates and may change based on real-world conditions.

Prices for deliveries and errands are shown before you confirm a request. Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. You authorize Cable and its payment partners to charge your selected payment method for confirmed requests, including any applicable service fees.

You agree not to:

• Use the Services to send illegal, hazardous, or prohibited items, including weapons, controlled substances, or stolen goods.
• Harass, threaten, or endanger Riders, Senders, or Receivers.
• Provide false information, including fake delivery addresses or receiver details.
• Interfere with the security or proper functioning of the Services.

To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Cable is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including loss, damage, or delay of items, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or conduct that risks the safety of other users. You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or website prior to taking effect. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
